Peter has 20 years of project management experience in the Information Technology industry, across a diverse range of projects and industries. He has been involved in software development, prime contracting, large outsource projects, and integrated solutions for organisations including the Royal Blind Society, the Commonwealth Bank, Federal Government through to Optus Communications. Peter has worked for a variety of software, business and systems consultancies in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. He has a strong
background in project management methodologies, quality management systems and project management systems. He also has a broad set of business experience gained from working with all levels of many organisations.

Some of the projects and activities in which Peter has been engaged over recent years include:

•  Implementation of a complete Quality Management System for Unisys Australia for the TAFE Queensland Systems Outsource project, a $70 million I.T. outsource venture.

•  Three years in the national Project Management Office for Unisys Australia providing mentoring, consulting, training, project reviews and project management support for all Unisys projects in Queensland and the Public Sector nationally. Peter designed and delivered project management training for a variety of different courses in this role.

•  Mobile telephony projects for Optus Communications including the implementation of the first Short Message Service for mobiles in Australia , and the implementation of the I.T. systems required to establish the first four Optus Mobile Resellers in Australia .

•  Complete implementation of I.T. systems from the ground up for the Royal Blind Society of N.S.W. Peter was the prime contract project manager for this circa $4 million project delivered by a consortium of five I.T. companies.

•  The implementation from the ground up of the initial I.T. systems for AusTrac, the Australian Governments money laundering intelligence agency. Peter played a major role in delivering the first $4 million implementation of this $10 million project.

Peter has been facilitating project management training courses for the past 4 years. These have ranged from 1-day workshops to comprehensive and specialised 5-day programs. Peter's easy manner, excellent communication skills and expert grasp of the subject matter make him an ideal facilitator for what can often be a highly technical and complex topic.

Peter currently divides his time between training and consulting in project management. He holds a B.App.Science with Distinction in Computer Science and a Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training. He is a Member of the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) and a Member of the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM). He is currently writing a text on I.T. Systems Integration Project Management and undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Project Management at the University of Sydney .
