Dr Sam Sharp is director of Numerix and is a leading authority
on project management. Having been a practitioner, consultant and
workshop leader for over twenty years, he has established an outstanding
reputation for his interactive hands-on workshops, conducted at
levels ranging from senior executives to supervisors and team leaders.
He is able to impart knowledge clearly and effectively which has
won him acclaim during courses which are commonly enthusiastically
received. His relaxed style and commitment to providing an active
and engaging learning environment has made him one of Australia's
premier course leaders.
Sam specialises in:

- Financial modelling
- Operations research
His project management experience lies in applications development,
research and systems. He has been a project leader responsible for
a variety of applications in engineering and allied areas.
He has worked on several large projects, including those in the
geotechnical applications area during the late 1970's and early
1980's, relating to the underground disposal and storage of nuclear
waste materials in the United States.
He has written several articles for prestigious international journals
in the area of heat flow and rock mechanics. He has also contributed
chapters to numerous publications and delivered papers at conferences
around the world.
Sam has authored and co-authored three management oriented software
packages, including an educational project scheduling program, which
has been distributed in the United States.
Sam is a Member of the Australian Institute of Project Management
(AIPM). He has a B.Sc. in Computer Science, an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics,
and a Ph.D. degree in Geo-Engineering.
