Leadership Skills for Middle and Senior Management
This training is designed for managers leading teams or for those who wish to prepare themselves for such a role. The course covers a well-rounded set of skills required to lead effectively in today's workplace. Focusing on key areas, including communication, decision-making and performance management, the course has a practical hands-on orientation. Participants will have the opportunity to implement many of the techniques directly in the context of their own work.
Learning Outcomes
Participants attending this training will emerge able to perform the following:
- Identify behaviours conducive to the effective leadership of teams.
- Understand the various styles of Situational Leadership and recognise when each is appropriate.
- Apply techniques of delegation, communication and motivation.
- Communicate both pro-actively and reactively with team members.
- Use formal processes to identify contextual information such as criteria, options, risks and constraints in the formulation and resolution of a collective decision.
- Establish the processes required to conduct appropriate performance reviews/management
